The light field contains blue and white floral elements. A Rust border presents two interspersed and alternating palmettes in a scrolling pattern, with considerable care evident in terms of the presentation of smaller blossoms along the vine. The border uses blue, white and red shades to create this motif. Mashhad rugs are noted for presenting closely highlighted and detailed representations of plants or animals. The tight knots permit these thick rugs to flatten out well when in use as a floor covering.
