Fine semi Antique Silk & wool Persian Nain 6 LA 7' X 11'4''

Description

This is a very special rug from Todesh nain from 1950 s with its unique design and colores. These rugs are particularly a high knot density ,the materials consist of wool and silk highlights. In addition to the high quality of the material itself the designs and color combinations are simply magnificent as a Todesh Nain rug. Most have patterns with medallions in the middle and floral motifs. Silk is used as a high light tool in the detail of the design. Todesh Nain rugs are clipped short so the design stands out even more than on other rugs. Sign Habibian.

All Nain rugs are knotted by hand using asymmetrical Persian knots and wool and silk pile on a cotton warp. The rugs are then clipped closely so that the design stands out more sharply in focus.

The city of Nain has earned a reputation around the world for producing some of the finest hand made rugs. The special feature of Nain rugs is the high percentage of silk that is used in making the rugs.

In addition to the high quality of the material itself, the designs and the color combinations that the weaver use in their rugs is simply magnificent.

GEORGE Constantinople

I was walking by Pasargad this week when I was stopped in my tracks by a beautiful 13' x 9' rug hanging in the window. Since I have worked with Pasargad before and know the excellent quality of their rugs and the exceptionally knowledgable and kind staff, I went right in, spoke to Cyrus, and again he advised me extremely well! I purchased the rug right away. Three days later, after the special rug pad had arrived from NYC, Muhammad and Pablo came to my apartment to deliver the rug and set it in place. They were simply excellent!!! They removed some furniture from my living room with great care before laying out the pad and rug. They were very patient and precise in their work and definitely knew what they were doing. The rug is now the "star" of my living room and only Pasargad with its "five stars" can top that!!! I am very grateful to Pasargad and recommend it very highly!!!
