L Brown Fine Antique Art Deco Rug 12'7'' X 17'9''

Description

Chinese Deco Rug, Origin: China, Circa: 1920s– Here is an exciting and appealing antique Oriental carpet – an antique Art Deco rug that was designed and woven in China during the early years of the twentieth century. Heavily informed by the aesthetic inclinations of the Art Deco period, this unique carpet is a compelling and thought-provoking example. A scalloped border ofLight Green encloses a Rose sand field on this exquisitely subtle and restrained antique Chinese Art Deco. At first the field appears empty or open, but it is actually covered by a tone-on-tone design of scrolls and cloud-bands emanating inward from the outer edges. In their sinuous rhythms they echo the scalloped forms of the border and continue its visual effects across the carpet in a more subdued manner. This carpet testifies to the masterful design sensibilities of Chinese weavers as they made the transition into the modern world. The Art Deco movement had an outside influence on the world of art and design, and some of the most important qualities and characteristics of that movement may be found in this fine rug.

Ali A

If you're interested in real persian rugs, high quality and hand made/craft, this place is one of the best within DC/VA/MD area. Their prices are fair, considering the fact that not every store has the real/genuine persian rugs, so you should consider higher values. They have other rugs with different origins, but if you compare side by side, the persian crafts with others, you will see the difference clearly. There are plenty of nice and pretty rugs, different sizes and styles, variety of colors, and different materials. The best are the silks rugs, and then the combination of silk/wool. Of course your budget is very important, bear in mind that for a medium quality 5'×3' size silk/wool rug, the minimum price tag is 800$. The store manager and associates are professional and polite, and calmly help you to find a nice rug within your budget limitation. I went there during a sale event, the deal items were good.
