Antique Oushak Rug, Country of Origin: Turkey, Circa 1920 — Representing its Turkish roots, this antique rug features a dominating flow of motion in the form of angular shapes throughout its borders. Red, bright tangerine and Navy all create an earthy background that allows the inspiring craftsmanship to shine through. Several borders frame each other around the carpet’s center, and the differences in the color combinations stand out in a defining, yet still familiar way. Located snugly within the rug’s middle area are several attractive petals and blossoms set in smooth symmetry, their forms large enough to house the smaller, delicately curving leaves within.
