Description

Kerman is an ancient city, with an incredible history going back over a thousand years. Marco Polo was one of the first westerners to view Kerman rugs. The city is located in the central south-eastern section of Iran, in the province that bears its name. Kerman rugs and carpets are perhaps one of the most recognizable within the antique Persian rug category. A typical pattern for Kerman rugs and carpets is a floral or architectural theme in the main border with a central medallion in the field. Other patterns include the finer Kerman Lavar style with garden, tree-of-life, vase, and all-over mille fleur designs, or the many pictorials which tell the story of a significant figure or event in history. The vase design carpets originated during the Safavid dynasty, and are among the greatest masterpieces of Persian weaving.

? Choosing the right rug can transform your living room!

Size matters: Make sure your rug fits the seating area all furniture legs should rest on it or at least the front legs.
Style & color: Pick a rug that complements your furniture. Neutral rugs work well for bold furniture, while colorful rugs add vibrancy to neutral rooms.
Material: For high-traffic areas, choose durable materials like wool or synthetic fibers.
Texture: Plush rugs add warmth, while flat-weave rugs are easier to maintain.

GEORGE Constantinople

I was walking by Pasargad this week when I was stopped in my tracks by a beautiful 13' x 9' rug hanging in the window. Since I have worked with Pasargad before and know the excellent quality of their rugs and the exceptionally knowledgable and kind staff, I went right in, spoke to Cyrus, and again he advised me extremely well! I purchased the rug right away. Three days later, after the special rug pad had arrived from NYC, Muhammad and Pablo came to my apartment to deliver the rug and set it in place. They were simply excellent!!! They removed some furniture from my living room with great care before laying out the pad and rug. They were very patient and precise in their work and definitely knew what they were doing. The rug is now the "star" of my living room and only Pasargad with its "five stars" can top that!!! I am very grateful to Pasargad and recommend it very highly!!!
